Post # 3 - Learning Partner Summary Call

Recently I had the opportunity to have a discussion with my learning partner who is currently employed at (TSBC) Technical Safety BC.

Some of the trends developing in her field are revisions of code regulations and requirements for hydrogen stations and biomass fuel powerplants throughout the province. TSBC offer Tech Talk seminars that are showing growth in popularity. These seminars are offered throughout the fiscal year and are meant to connect with industry professionals. Topics discussed are centered on updates to code ,and shifts in trends that have a direct impact for business owners.

Following the path of educational institutes TSBC has made the transition to offer several courses via online or through distance learning. Making accessibility a priority for those wishing to remain updated with certification renewals. Webinars and live information sessions have been implemented as a resource for technicians and contractors. TSBC has been utilizing blogs as another means to connect. Posts such as " Ask a Safety Officer" are able to provide information on electrical, natural gas, refrigeration , railway , and elevator/escalator operating procedures.

TSBC is rising to the challenge by offering a variety of educational resources for active learners.
